Picnic lunch to playground off Washington Street. Family Playground has covered pavilion with picnic tables situated in partially wooded area offering sun and shade. Childrens playground offers monkey bars, teeter tauter, large slide, and swings. At Napa Store turn onto Washington Street, left to Prospect Street, playground is on your right.

Moosehead Lake family vacation picnic and snacks to Greenville Junction Wharf lakeside location with charcoal grilling facilities, picnic tables, and small pirate ship for young kids. Try your luck at fishing. Watch float planes take off and land, swim, and enjoy the view!

Greenville Maine School off Pritham Avenue on left. Great playground for young children, tennis courts, basketball court, skateboard park / ice skating rink, volleyball, and track.

Discovery Moose Safari tour and cruise at The Birches. Moosehead Lake pontoon boat cruise - 3 to 4 hr tour passing by Mt Kineo and venturing into a wilderness preserve area aboard a Pontoon Boat. Ask for the Discovery with padded seats, and foul weather curtains. Bring some snacks for the kids, jackets, and your camera for a great Maine adventure that is suitable for all ages.

Kineo Shuttle- Great Family Vacation Activity Fun- Short boat ride to Mt Kineo- Pack a picnic lunch, play at Pebble Beach and enjoy the views. Hike Mt Kineo and afterwards get an ice cream at the golf course snack bar. Note: A must for a beautiful day with calm winds. Kineo Boat Shuttle 207-534-9012 leaves on the hour and costs about $6 per person. A great family friendly hike.

Visit Lily Bay State Park just North on Lily Bay Rd. Swim, picnic, hike or ride bikes. Bike rentals available at North Woods Outfitters in town they even have child seats.

Maine Fishing, Family Fishing Ponds in the Moosehead Lake Area - Fish Prong Pond and Gravel Pit Pond are nearby and offers stocked pond fishing for children of all ages.

Red Cross Beach at Moosehead Lake- Greenville Maine Public swimming beach- Lifeguards and floating docks. Open Swim- Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 1-4pm and Thursday and Friday 10-4pm. Located off Pritham Avenue, parking at Masonic Lodge and follow path down to Lake. Popular with young kids.

Moose Watching- A family trip adventure - Just take a drive in the evenings looking for Moose along the roadsides or reserve family adventure tour moose safari and search for the magestic Maine Moose by float plane, pontoon boat or off road vehicle.

Abbot, Maine Playground - A wonderful family playground for children. Road trip is about 20 miles but worth it. Play then stop in at Abbot Bakery for some treats afterwards and ice cream just down the road. If you like BBQ, stop by Spring Creek in Monson just South of Abbott for some great food on your way back into town.

Historic Pittson Farm- A remote backcounrty Moosehead Area logging camp now functioning as a working farm offering evening buffet dining in the main lodge. A great family vacation activity. Enjoy walking about the gardens, and seeing animals, goats, lamas, and horses graze in pastures nearby.

Mountain Biking- Mountain paths, former railroad beds can be found throughout the area with beautiful scenery awaiting. Enjoy the Greenville - Shirley Railroad Bed Ride Mountain bike rentals, sales, service and trail information available.

Outdoor Summer Vacation Concerts- Free - Friday nights during the summer at 6:30pm, Downtown Greenville Gazebo, bring a blanket and a sweater in case of a cool breeze and enjoy. Browse the downtown shops and get ice cream afterwards
